Gender Minister Rallies Support For New GSFP Boss

The minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection hon. Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu has called on the management of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) to give their maximum support and cooperation to the newly appointed National Coordinator – Hajia Safiya Mohammed.

The minister made the call during a ceremony to introduce Hajia Safiya to the management of the programme this afternoon in the conference room of the ministry.

The minister also entreated the new coordinator to unite the staff of programme and also work hard to ensure the sustainability of the GSFP.

The Chief Director of the Gender Ministry Dr. Afisa Zakariah advised the new coordinator to always weigh and observe issues critically before arriving at a decision, this, Dr. Afisa believed would enable her avoid making mistakes which could impede the progress and sustainability of the programme.

In her remarks, Hajia Safiya expressed her gratitude to the ministry and GSFP management for their warm reception and advise. She promised to work with all relevant GSFP stakeholders in order to deliver a well-coordinated robust programme. The new coordinator also assured the minister that she would work hard to redeem the confidence reposed in her to lead the programme.

All GSFP management members present at the meeting assured the new coordinator of their unflinching support and cooperation so that together they could make her tenure a success.
