It’s Unacceptable That My People Live In Fear – Yendi MP

Three unresolved murder cases in a matter of weeks means the people of Yendi in the Northern Region now live in fear with residents of the ancient town unable to tell who is next to die at the hands of unknown and blood thirsty assassins.
With the latest murder case which happened this dawn doing nothing but aggravate the state of fear , the Member of Parliament for the area has now called for action, saying his people cannot continue to live in fear.
“It is no longer tolerable to see the a land whose people known always for their beautiful culture, hospitality, industry and Entrepreneurship to now increasingly live in a state of fear and apprehension,” Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama said in a statement.
The lawmaker, while promising to engage stakeholders over the matter also called on the various security agencies to double down on their effort by collaborating on operations aimed at ridding the town of criminals.
Alhaji Farouk has also cautioned the people against mob action, saying while rightly aggrieved, the people should seek justice for their lost ones in manners acceptable under the law.
