The University for Development Studies (UDS) has written its name in global sporting history after qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Universities World Football Tournament in China, becoming the first African university ever to achieve this feat.

In a thrilling encounter, UDS defeated Spain’s Ramon Llull University 4–1 in a commanding display of football brilliance.

Striker Alhassan Zakaria led the charge with a stunning brace, while Ezideen and Ibrahim Saani added their names to the scoresheet with inspired finishes.
