Ridwan Afeso Unveils Six-Point Plan as He Launches Bid for NPP Savannah Regional Communications Director

A Deputy Savannah Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party has officially announced his intention to contest for the position of Regional Communications Director, unveiling a six-point plan to strengthen the party’s communication strategy ahead of the 2028 elections.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Ridwan Afeso Abubakari said his decision is driven by the need to rebuild the NPP’s communication machinery in the Savannah Region following the party’s disappointing performance in the 2024 elections.

Outlining his vision under the theme “Connect, Communicate and Compel for Victory 2028,” Ridwan said his leadership will focus on practical reforms to make the regional communications directorate more effective, inclusive, and technology-driven.

His six-point plan seeks to:
1. Strengthen coordination between party leadership and communicators.
2. Provide resources and professional training for communication teams.
3. Promote local storytelling that connects with grassroots communities.
4. Leverage technology and digital media to expand outreach.
5. Uphold transparency and accountability in all communications.
6. Increase the participation of female communicators across the region.

Ridwan, who also serves as the Communications Director for the NPP Youth Wing in the region, said he brings more than a decade of experience in political communication, spanning radio, television, social media, and campaign strategy.

He noted that his background in media production and public administration positions him to lead a results-oriented communications team ready to “get to work from day one.”

Having previously served as an aide to the North Gonja DCE, Hon. Adam Eliasu (Red Bawa), Ridwan emphasized his long-standing commitment to the NPP and the development of young communicators in the region.

He also paid tribute to past regional communications directors who mentored him and pledged to continue their legacy while introducing modern strategies to win public confidence and support for the party.

“I am ready to lead a vibrant and united communications team that will tell the NPP’s story better and deliver victory in 2028,” he stated.

Ridwan Afeso Abubakari called on delegates and party members to back his bid, describing himself as the best-prepared candidate to drive the next phase of the NPP’s communications agenda in the Savannah Region.
