Tamale Islamic Senior High Beats Tamasco and Ghanasco To Win NMSQ


In a sheer display of knowledge and talent, Tamale Islamic Science Senior High School has emerged victorious in the National Maths and Science Quiz (NSMQ) for the Northern Zone.
The competition was fierce as four exceptional schools battled it out for the bragging rights and the chance to represent the Northern Zone at the national level.

In the Zonal Championship finals that took place earlier today, Tamale Islamic Science SHS showcased their prowess by outperforming their competitors securing a well-deserved victory with a remarkable score of 30 points.
Competition heavyweights, Tamale Senior High School(Tamasco) lost their magic this time as they secured 26 points to fall behind in second place to the exceptional Islamic Science School.

The Northern light however had some consolation to take home as their arch-rivals, Ghana Senior High School (Ghanasco) contributed a paltry 10 points to their name to place last and 11 points behind St. Francis Xavier who managed 21 points to secure third spot.

The NSMQ has been a prestigious event in the educational calendar of Ghana providing a platform for students to exhibit their academic prowess in the fields of mathematics and science.
The annual quiz competition aims to foster interest in these subjects inspire students to develop problem-solving skills and propel them towards future careers in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) fields.

With this triumph Tamale Islamic Science Senior High School has secured their spot in the national championship contest where they will compete against other regional winners for the ultimate title.
