Support Me to Develop Savelugu, Hajia Fatahia Urges As She Files Nomination Papers

A presidential staffer, Hajia Fatahia Abdul Aziz, has filed her nomination papers to contest the parliamentary candidate position of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Savelugu Constituency.

She has thus called on the people to support her realise her parliamentary ambition and in return witness growth and development never seen in the history of the area.

Hajia Fatahia who counts a former MP among her opponents disclosed that her decision to enter the race is motivated by her deep-rooted desire to transform the lives of the people, saying she has heard the concerns, dreams and aspirations of the people for which she must be supported to transform them into meaningful reality.

The Presidential staffer in her quest to empower her people has over the years facilitated the recruitment of many young people into the various security setups, built over 20 merchandised boreholes and has supported financially in putting many brilliant-but-needy students through school.

She has lobbied for construction of a municipal office complex for the NHIS, which is nearing completion and also a state-of-the-art community center which when completed will ensure the people have a befitting place for social gatherings.

Hajia Fatahia, accompanied by a rain-defying crowd to the NPP Constituency office in where she filed her papers said her record over the years is an indication she is the rightful candidate to represent the NPP as its parliamentary candidate and the people of Savelugu as their  lawmaker.

Apart from her record, Hajia also touted her experience, having served and associated closely with top members of the Busia-Danquah-Dombo tradition including President Akufo-Addo for over two decades.

She said such service has not only offered her the opportunity to learn at the feet of great men and women but has also ensured an array of networks at her disposal which she will not hesitate to trigger for development when elected as MP.

The soft-spoken Hajia however urged her supporters to be mindful of the fact the party primaries slated for later this year was internal, hence the need to play clean and avoid insults as any candidate who wins will still need the support of the losing candidates for next year’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
