Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk Nuhu, a prominent political figure and member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced his decision not to contest as an independent candidate in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections in the Bimbilla Constituency. This follows his controversial disqualification from the Parliamentary primaries, a decision that sparked significant dissatisfaction among his supporters within the constituency and the broader Northern Region.

In a press release, Alhaji Zaruk Nuhu expressed his commitment to the NPP and clarified that his decision was made after extensive consultations with local community leaders, including chiefs, elders, and youth despite calls for him to run independently, it was agreed that he would not pursue this path, reaffirming his dedication to the NPP’s agenda.
