NDA Transfers One Million Dollar Constituency Projects to District Assemblies

The Northern Development Authority (NDA) has announced that all Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Projects (IPEP), also known as the One Million Dollars per Constituency Projects, have been officially transferred to the respective District Assemblies across Northern Ghana.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the NDA said the government’s directive aims to strengthen decentralization and ensure the efficient completion and management of community infrastructure projects at the local level.
According to the statement, twenty percent (20%) of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) will now be used to complete ongoing and uncompleted IPEP projects.
The move, the NDA explained, is expected to empower local authorities to take charge of the projects and enhance accountability in their implementation.
The Authority further indicated that it has submitted a comprehensive status report on all IPEP projects to the five Regional Coordinating Councils in Northern Ghana to guide the transition and follow-up processes.
It also encouraged District Assemblies seeking additional information or technical support to contact its regional offices.
