Kpalsi-Dimala Road Project To be Completed in Seven Months
Preparations are complete for the commencement of the Kpalsi-Dimala Road project in the Sagnarigu Municipality. The 2.05km road construction will be undertaken by Ashcal Investment Limited and is projected to be completed within seven months.
At a sod-cutting ceremony marking the start of the project, Sagnarigu Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mohammed Ahmed Polo clarified misconceptions that the project was being carried out by the Member of Parliament for the area.
He attributed the realization of the project to the lobbying efforts of himself and Mrs. Felicia Tettey, the Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Sagnarigu. Polo emphasized the anticipated benefits of the road upgrade, highlighting the relief it would bring to local residents. He called on the community to support the contractor as work begins.
Project Consultant Elvis Awuni detailed the scope of the project, stating that the road will be tarred and include covered drains, as well as pedestrian and bicycle lanes. Additionally, the completed road will feature street lighting to enhance security.
Mr. Awuni also appealed to the community for support, noting that construction materials have previously been stolen from other sites. He urged local residents to help prevent such incidents as work progresses.
The Kpalsi-Dimala Road project is expected to significantly improve transportation infrastructure in the Sagnarigu Municipality, contributing to enhanced connectivity and safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
