Lawyers for the parliamentary candidate for the NDC in the Sagnerigu Constituency, have written to firebrand radio presenter, Halik Musah alias DJ Tell, demanding that he retract and apologize following a social media post on August 2 in which he alleges that supporters of Atta Issah vandalised his car at the instruction of the young politician.
The broadcaster has been issued a 48-hour ultimatum to retract and issue an apology on all platforms where he made the alleged statement which the lawyers say is not only baseless but made also with the intention of defaming their client, Atta Issah. The lawyers have warned Halik Musah that failure to comply within the stipulated time will leave them with no option than to pursue a legal action.
Days ago, Halik Musah’s car which he acquired recently was vandalised overnight by a gang at Choggu. The presenter later took to his Facebook page to claim that Atta Issah and his boys were the people behind the destruction of his vehicle after he criticized him and his party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama. His post garnered a lot of attention with many people criticising Atta Issah and his boys for their action.
The NDC’s Candidate legal representatives have dismissed the claims, saying the allegations by the controversial Presenter are not only false but also harmful to Hon. Issah’s reputation, painting him as a violent and unsuitable candidate for public office.
