Former Bamvim Secretary to Take Legal Action Over Allegations of Land Misappropriations

A former secretary of the Bamvim Chief Palace has announced intention to initiate legal action against individuals and media houses accused of making and spreading what has been described as malicious allegations against his person.

In a statement, Lawyers for Mr Mohammed Abdulai said its client has given firm instructions for legal proceedings to be commenced against all persons and media outlets responsible for publishing alleged defamatory statements that he misappropriated some customary lands during his time as Scribe to the late Bamvim Chief, Alhaji Mahama Abdulai.

Among the accusations include claims that Mr. Abdulai unlawfully changed the name of a parcel of land from Manguli Kukoo to Bamvim Kukoo for personal gain.

ADBA Solicitors, his legal representatives, have categorically denied the allegation, stating that the Manguli Kukoo site plan remains intact and is readily verifiable at the appropriate state institutions.

The lawyers further explained that the Bamvim Kukoo site plan referenced by Mr. Abdulai’s accusers was prepared at a time when their client was a minor, long before he assumed the role of secretary to the late chief.

The firm described the allegations as false, malicious, and deliberately misleading. The planned legal action is aimed at vindicating Mr. Abdulai and protecting his reputation from what the firm characterizes as false and damaging claims circulated in recent days.

In the interim, the firm urged the general public and media organisations to disregard the statements and to refrain from any further publication or circulation of what it termed falsehoods.
