Bawku Curfew Reviewed Upward, Residents To Spend 12 Hours Indoors

Following the deteriorating security situation, the Upper East Regional Security Council has reviewed upward the curfew hours imposed on the Bawku Municipality.

The decision which takes immediate effect is a temporary measure to contain the heightened security situation as a result of protracted chieftaincy and ethnic clashes which have disrupted economic and social life.

Following the review, residents who hitherto enjoyed curfew hours of six hours from 10pm to 4am, will now be required to enter their homes and remain indoors for 12 hours, spanning 6pm to 6am.
