Arnold Mashud is NDC Director of Elections in Northern Region
An IT lecturer with the Tamale Technical University has been appointed as the Northern Regional Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress.
Dr. Arnold Mashud will take over from Aminu Mohammed Adams whose appointment was contested and sunsequently referred to the opposition party’s Conflict Resolution Committee. The Committee eventually recommended that Mr. Amin step aside for a new person to be appointed to the role.
The Party has now settled on the person to fill the role with Dr. Mashud’s appointment confirmed in a letter addressed to the regional hierachy and from Fiifi Kwetey, the General Secretary.
“The Functional Executive Committee, at its meeting on April 23, 2023, deliberated at length on the issue and endorsed the Directorates decision that Mr. Arnold Mashud be appointed the Director of Elections in the Northern Region,” the letter addressed to Chairman of the Party said.
“It is my hope that you will collaborate and Cooporate with him to work for the victory of the party in the region,” the letter added
