Alice Dawuni Pledges to Turn Northern Region Blue Through Women Mobilisation

Northern Regional Women Organiser aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alice Dawuni, has pledged to spearhead an aggressive women mobilisation drive aimed at reclaiming the party’s support base in the region.

Speaking to journalists after filing her nomination on Friday, Alice Dawuni said many women who previously supported the NPP have become disillusioned and disconnected from the party.

She stressed that, if elected, her foremost responsibility would be to reunite and re-engage these women to strengthen the party ahead of future elections.

According to her, party organisation is not a seasonal activity but a continuous commitment that requires dedication throughout the year. She promised to work tirelessly to restore the confidence of women in the NPP and ensure they play a central role in the party’s rebuilding efforts in the Northern Region.

Responding to questions on how she intends to achieve this, the aspiring Regional Women Organiser said her long-standing service and commitment to the NPP have equipped her with the experience and understanding needed to reconnect with women across the region and address their concerns.

On what distinguishes her from the other contestants, Alice Dawuni described herself as a grassroots politician with proven mobilisation skills and a solid record of dedicated service to the party.

She expressed confidence that her experience and close relationship with party members make her the right person to lead the women’s wing.

She appealed to delegates to give her their mandate in the upcoming regional executive elections, assuring them that she would work diligently to unite women, strengthen the party’s structures, and help return the Northern Region to the NPP’s winning column.
