With Me As PC, NPP Will Win Tamale Central – Mayor of Tamale
The Mayor of Tamale has earlier today submitted his nomination forms, officially declaring his intent to contest in the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Primaries for the Tamale Central constituency.
Hon. Sule Salifu expressed confidence in his ability to secure victory for the ruling party in next year’s general elections, stating that his experience and dedication to the party would be instrumental in his success.
Having served the party diligently at various levels for numerous years, the former regional secretary of the ruling party believed that he possessed the necessary skills and knowledge to run a successful campaign.
He emphasized the importance of a clean and respectful contest urging his supporters and campaign team to maintain decorum and refrain from engaging in attacks or insults towards his opponents.
While addressing his supporters and the media, Hon. Sule Salifu, underscored that the parliamentary primaries were an internal party affair aimed at selecting the most qualified candidate to represent the NPP in the 2024 general elections.
He stressed the need for unity within the party, highlighting that a healthy competition and respectful engagement between contestants were essential for the overall success of the NPP.
Accompanying the Mayor to file his forms was Farouk Aliu Mahama, the Member of Parliament for Yendi. He told the media that Hon. Sule Salifu was a family and that with the resources and expertise available to him, he was ready to support the Tamale Mayor to stage a successful campaign.
Farouk Aliu Mahama, Son of late former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, believes the MCE possesses the leadership qualities required to address the developmental needs of the people and urged delegates of Tamale Central to support his bid, saying a vote for the Sule Salifu will bring effective and transformative representation to the people.
As the NPP gears up for the upcoming parliamentary primaries, all eyes will be on the Tamale Central constituency to witness a keenly contested race between Salifu and his fellow party members. The outcome will undoubtedly shape the party’s chances of winning the parliamentary seat in the region for the first time.
