Aliu Fawaz Supports Project To Equip Zabzugu Hospital with Mortuary
In an act that will bring relief to the residents of Zabzugu, a Deputy Chief of Staff has provided funds to equip the Zabzugu District hospital with a mortuary.
Zabzugu, one of the ancient communities in Northern Ghana, has been without a morgue, a situation that puts residents in severe difficulties as they sometimes have to travel to Yendi with bodies of their deceased loved ones for preservation.
Recognizing the need for the mortuary, Chief Aliu Fawaz, a parliamentary candidate aspirant for the NPP, extended his support to the project which stalled because of the lack of funds.
It is not clear how much money the Deputy Chief of Staff donated towards the project, but sources say his intervention is enough to complete the mortuary building and to equip it with Ultramodern freezers for the preservation of dead bodies.
Speaking about the gesture, a spokesperson for Chief Aliu Fawaz, expressed his belief that every citizen deserves dignified and accessible healthcare facilities even after their passing. He emphasized the importance of providing support and relief to communities in need particularly in addressing longstanding issues that directly impact their well-being.
In a related development, the deputy Chief of Staff has donated 40 bags of cement and a cash amount of Ghc 1,000 to the Yelzoli Chief Palace as his contribution to the ongoing construction of a befitting palace for the Chief of Yelzoli.
